Madeleine’s Farm
Madeleine’s Farm was the scene of desperate fighting from September 28 to October 9, 1918, when the farm was finally captured by troops of the 3d Division. At the beginning of the Verdun battle several hospitals were established at Madeleine Farm, and the fallen were buried at the edge of the forest in a cemetery that was named Nantillois.
